◊ What do Eyecare (Optometric) Specialists do?
Some of the activities an Eyecare Specialist may be responsible for include: maintaining patient charts, obtaining patient’s histories, patient screening, selecting frames for prescription mounting and prescription verification. Frame adjusting & repairing is also a vital service in eyecare. Patient contact lens training, scheduling of appointments, administrative activities, and the ordering of supplies are other exciting duties.

◊ Where do Eyecare (Optometric) Specialists work?
Graduates of our Eyecare Specialist school program currently serve the profession in optometric and ophthalmology offices and clinics. Ophthamologists, opticians, optometric labs, public health facilities, and the armed services of the United States are all employing our graduates.
