◊ Where does a Medical Administrative Assistant work?
The majority of graduates from our Medical Administrative Assistant school program serve the profession as administrative staff employed by doctors in private practice or clinic settings. These offices are staffed by both general practitioners and specialists in the medical profession. Other graduates are employed by rapidly growing large group-practice systems and HMO’s. In these settings, several general practice doctors or specialists join and share one facility, while employing many clerical assistants. Clinics, medical centers, medical institutions, research centers, laboratories, nursing homes, specialized care centers and hospitals are all facilities that employ medical administrative staff.
